David Fincher - I'd say I'm a mild fan of David Fincher, so it's not like that other random page I have, but still pretty random.

  1. Fight Club - I love this movie, probably it's in my top 20 but I need to watch it again to be sure. But yeah, stylisticly just really interesting, and the point of it also compelling. It's a flawed movie, maybe deeply so, but still, way more interesting in content and style than the vast majority of movies out there.
  2. Panic Room - Another flawed movie, but still interesting. I dunno, it's pretty much a genre thriller but a well done one. He does some pretty amazing things visually in this movie.
  3. Se7en - This is probably a "better" movie than Panic Room and maybe even Fight Club, but that's kind of why it's ranked so low - it's too good at what it's supposed to do. Totally creepy and almost evil. I watched this Halloween 1995 and yeah, came out just feeling terrible.
  4. The Game - So some movies you come out thinking it's pretty good and the more you think about it, the less sense it makes. This movie, you come out being confused and you get even more confused the more you think about it. It just made no sense whatsoever.

Frank Darabont - I've seen his 3 major movies, so why not rank them.

  1. The Shawshank Redemption - Hands down my favorite movie. I think it's just about perfect - the dialogue, the story, some of the shots, the pace, the message. I watch this movie every few months to recharge my life.
  2. The Green Mile - I don't get this movie. I dunno, I think it's supposed to be somewhat deep or something? I just don't get it. It's the last line of the movie that confused me. My mom also. After hearing it, she stands up and says "Tch!" But yeah, don't get it, and if there's nothing there, I dunno, it's an OK movie, nothing. I read the book just because I was so confused and yeah, that didn't help things much either. The book was better, though.
  3. The Majestic - The more I think about it, the worse I think this movie was. What's it about, the Hollywood blacklist? Then why does the majority of the movie have nothing to do with it? And it's so unflinchingly cheesy through and through. I dunno, not a great movie. This same guy made Shawshank??
