He was rec by a Y!, came to my house and did a fairly good job of recovering data from a lost partition. He charged $60/hr and took ~ 4 hrs to recover a 150 GB disk. There are places you can send the disk to for recovery, but they charge $500 to 000's.
- You can try using the company we use for data recovery, http://www.drivesavers.com/ It is not cheap however so be prepared if the price is more than you expected.
- We've used Carmel Weiler at http://comtego.com/ for this exact type of thing. Contact info is on the website as well as background info on the company. I highly recommend her.
