South Shore
Top of Harvey’s hotel
- It is fine dining on the top floor with an excellent view. The abalone is great.
- It was pretty decent – used to be called Llewellyn’s. Nice view, good food and service…creative menu.

casual eats and drinks upstairs, fancy place downstairs. my fav. place for a quiet drink and pub food. gets crowded at popular times.

small, quiet, classy restau...really nice view of the lake. totally hidden. see the image at the top of the page? the restaurant is on the top floor of the building on the pier.
tahoe bowl bar and pool table
the wife and i go here to play pool. there's never anyone there...and most of the locals are playing pool. this is if everything's too crowded. there's a certain dive quality to it. also, the bar owner is obviously a hunter. :) tell me if you go to this place. would like to hear your impression. and it's across from the tudor pub.

this makes for a nice evening cruise. it'll be pretty cold...but it's a nice way to get out on the lake at sunset. as i recall, the food was terrible and overpriced (so eat before, or just have appetizers). the whole thing is a little pricey, but nice view.
Sprouts
another healthy food type place. lots of sprouts and whole grains.
Rude Brothers Bagels
Orchid Thai
best thai Ive eaten in a long time....incl bay area...
Red Hut
For breakfast – if on the south side – must go to the Red Hut!
Scusa

Riva Grill
Fresh Ketch
fairly expensive, but great seafood
North Shore
Lone Eagle grill
It’s in Nevada though – not sure if you’re going that far, but it’s a great hotel and casino and restaurant.
Firesign Café
For breakfast – if on the north side – must go to Firesign Café (Tahoe City)
