Bistro Elan
- Bistro Elan is the least expensive, with most entrees in the mid-high $20s. Bistro Elan is probably the most romantic, especially in the back garden or one of the quiet corner tables. French with a California flair.
- I must anti-recommend Bistro Elan. Went there for a very special dinner and was soooo disappointed. Had reservations and was seated promptly enough, but it took 40 minutes for our appetizers, and 1.5 hours for our entrees. My entree was burnt to a crisp and the other entree was quite over-salted. A chef friend told me when he went there they tried to do a bait-and-switch wine on him (a great bottle of wine was out of stock and they substituted a much newer vintage and charged him the original price). They even said, "Oh but it's the same wine."
Evvia
Evvia has the most casual, bustling feel. Nominally Greek, but more Cal-Mediterranean.
Village Pub (Woodside)
Village Pub (name aside) is elegant with a gentleman's clubby feel. Continental/American and probably the "best" food of the bunch.
Tamarine
Tamarine can be hit or miss.
