Getting the best deal on a rental car

What I do, and it's a little tedious, but sometimes well worth the effort.

Check Orbitz.com. It's pretty cheap on Orbitz, so that serves kind of like a base rate.
Go through the list of car rental coupon codes at RentalCodes.com. I basically check every rental company and check the relevant coupon codes, and see if that beats the Orbitz rate. Like I said, it's kind of a lot of work. But, I've frequently got incredible deals with the coupon, like more than 50% less than the base rate. So it's been worth it.
