Terry Myers
- I recommend Terry Myers at Santa Clara Golf & Tennis. Best thing I learned is how understand what I did right/wrong based on the flight of the ball. I just finished a 6-lesson program with him.
- My golf instructor has been very good for my game. He is rated among the top coaches in CA.
Tricia Hinze
at Tilden golf course in Berkeley is great. They have a very affordable beginner program with lots of perks. I was impressed with most of their instructors.
Foothill
there are a number of low cost classes at foothill college (and other local jc's, i imagine). that might be a good way to get started. later on, they also offer a class that meets at moffett field golf course (you just PLAY 18 every week--it rocks) if you need lessons for a kid, then maybe try the First Tee program in your area?
Jack Doss
over at Santa Clara Muni. Very patient, works on one thing at a time. Nicest man in the whole world.
Mark Dorcak
I don’t know if they do discounts or not. Mark Dorcak was my instructor and was excellent. I learned quite a bit and the first lesson was free.
