TED Takedown

This takedown of TED is awesome. I love TED – believe it or not, I’ve watched every single video they’ve released. But TED talks definitely require some mental filtering. They’re build on bullet points, and their brevity makes it difficult to assess their substance. And in the past couple years, they feel increasingly self-referential and self-contained, with not a little bit of smug mixed in.

I still like them, but as entertainment, not the source of Truth.
