David Shaw

Enjoyed this story on David Shaw being a torch-bearer for African-American football coaches. I’m not a particularly big fan of affirmative action, but I do think there’s a systemic bias against minorities in the coaching ranks. And I’m kind of proud that Stanford has been at the forefront of hiring merit-based minority coaches like Dennis Green, Ty Willingham, and Shaw.

I don’t include Dawkins on the list. I think the guy’s got to go.
