The Mercury today published the major ethnic groups in San Francisco schools:

• Chinese 29.6%
• Latino 21.7%
• African-American 15.6
• Other non-white 12%
• White 11.%
• Filipino 6.9%
• Japanese 1%
• Korean 1%
• American Indian 0.6%

I thought that was stunning.
