Danny ChaiJieun’s been finding some white hairs on my head lately, which I find kind of disturbing. Not that they’re the first. It’s weird but I had tons of white hairs in high school. Then when I got to college, all of a sudden they all disappeared. Apparently they’re slowly coming back. How does that happen? I guess a hair turning white isn’t permanent? The follicle reverts or something like that?
I remember after my mom went through chemo, when her hair started growing back it came out incredibly soft and black. It was amazing. For some reason that memory really sticks with me. Something about new beginnings I guess.
