Things have been a little crazy at work. No apologies for not blogging, since no one actually cares, but if I haven’t responded to an email or something else in a timely manner, sorry about that.

So we have this Wiggles CD that we have listened to – and this is a conservative estimate – about 1 trillion times. Abby need need needs to listen to it every single time we’re in the car. It never gets old for her.

My confession – I haven’t tired of it either. In fact, I like it. I find myself singing various Wiggles songs throughout the day, and I’m not bothered or ashamed that I’m doing it. Jieun has confessed that sometimes after she drops Abby off and she’s alone in the car, she keeps the Wiggles CD playing. We may be in an extreme minority here, but I think the music is pretty catchy, and way better than the music in other stuff we’ve been exposed to, like Dora, Yo Gabba Gabba, and other snippets of stuff we’ve seen online since we don’t have cable.

I can’t speak to the visual quality at all – maybe other shows are better. To be honest, we almost never watch the Wiggles DVDs – the thought of seeing middle-aged Australian men dancing in color coordinated outfits kind of creeps me out. We just listen to the CD, even just listen to the DVDs with the TV off. But yeah, I’m going to go so far as to say I love the Wiggles music.

In other baby news, I’m not sure if our method of timeout is fully working. We sit her down in a particular chair and count to ten. Problem is, she’s starting to count now. So one time recently, after I sat her down and counted, she applauded me, saying bravo, for successfully counting to ten. Hmm. Not quite the intended effect.
